Just wanted to mention a neat little script i found.

Comment out the first line in earpluginit.sqf if it throws errors for you

It seems that this gets disabled if you have STHUD. When you get in a group, then the Ear plug option disappears.

nice idea. i just allow the push2hear addon on our server so far - but a script solution might be neat.

Hello, i have issue with that.

After join mission first time earplug working fine, but when player disconnect or go to lobby for long time (maybe 5-10minutes) and rejoin mission, earplug option dissapear.

Anyone have same issue?

I pulled out what I wanted from the Ear Plugs addon.

Bound it to the End key. *requested by a user

Nice, but i need to find why some mouse scroll interractions disappear.

I have same issue with R3F 3.0 to Tow Vehicle. When player login, tow vehicle not working, player must first unlock or pickup some object then tow working fine...

How do you notify your players this feature is in the game when u use it this way Lodac?

That's an idea ofcourse but the majority of players don't read that I think.

Haha, no they don't, they just want to shoot shit. Some even is surprised that you don't get chased by cops for shooting other players.... =)

How about adding an "ear-plugs" Wasteland item that they get for free everytime they spawn.

Clicking on "Use" would remove it from the inventory ... Once they have the earplugs on they could use a key to remove the earplugs, and they would appear in the inventory again.

You have to tell them how to remove the ear-plugs ... when they put them on.

Back in Arma 2, Takistan Life: Revolution, we had "cell-phones" which were free for players when they spawned. Something interesting happened ... people started committing suicide so the could get a new "cell-phone"  and sell it at the stores. It was a really slow way of making money, but some people did it because they had a store right across the civilian spawn location. We also saw that the map soon was littered with cell-phone items that players dropped when they died (more objects, slower server). So we ended up making the "cell-phone" not drop, and also making it have $0 re-sale value.
