Hi Guys and Girls

 Would you be able to help me out, im trying to figure out how to build a file to allow my server difficulty settings to be right..

 Im trying to get cross hair off and allow 3rd person and no camera shake basically want it like vet difficulty like it used to be but unable to do now as it wants it to be custom..

Could anyone help me with pointing me in the right direction or help me by sharing a file.

Ok but where do you put it in a linux dedicated server and what are the launch parameters?
when i put test in the launch parameters like this -name=test it creates a folder test and filename test.armaprofile but when i edit this file with the settings i want it still gets stuck on verteran and not custom?

I will retry with that post i already tried copy pasting these settings. i'll keep you posted !

This is my arma3server.armaprofile
Code: [Select]
class DifficultyPresets
{
defaultPreset = "Custom";
myArmorCoef = 1.5;
groupArmorCoef = 1.5;
recoilCoef = 1;
visionAidCoef = 0.8;
divingLimitMultiplier = 1.0;
animSpeedCoef = 0;
cancelThreshold = 0;
showCadetHints = 1;
showCadetWP = 1;
class CustomDifficulty
{
displayName = "$STR_Difficulty_Custom";
optionDescription = "$STR_Difficulty_Custom_desc";
optionPicture = "\A3\Ui_f\data\Logos\arma3_white_ca.paa";
class Options
{
reducedDamage = 0;
groupIndicators = 0;
friendlyTags = 0;
enemyTags = 0;
detectedMines = 0;
commands = 1;
waypoints = 0;
weaponInfo = 1;
stanceIndicator = 1;
staminaBar = 1;
weaponCrosshair = 0;
visionAid = 0;
thirdPersonView = 1;
cameraShake = 0;
scoreTable = 1;
deathMessages = 0;
vonID = 1;
mapContent = 0;
autoReport = 0;
multipleSaves = 0;
};
};
};

This i my launch parameter as you can see the name param is set
Code: [Select]
parms="-ip=${ip} -port=${port} -cfg=${networkcfgfullpath} -config=${servercfgfullpath} -mod=${mods} -servermod=${servermods} -bepath=${bepath} -autoinit -loadmissiontomemory -filepatching -name=arma3server"
}

I tested this with a different name and as soon as i launch the server it auto creates a folder/filename in .local/share/Arma 3 - Other Profiles/

so i know i don't have to put the profile parameter in the launch parameters.

this i my arma3server.config.cfg
Code: [Select]
// MISSIONS CYCLE (see below)
  class Missions
  {
          class Mission1
         {
              template="z03_Wasteland.Malden";
              difficulty="Custom";
          };
  };

i don't know what i am doing wrong but somethings not right

The server is probably reading the wrong Arma3Profile. Most admins add the "-profiles=<PATH>" command line option to make sure it reads from the correct folder. Or there might be a syntax error in one of your other paths, Linux is less forgiving than Windows in that regard. I would need the server RPT log to confirm.
