Hi there,
This may be down to my understanding, or lack of.
It was working for us once but the crosshair has come back again.
We have edited these three files through the hosting web browser as they say that's the best way to do it:
(We also have to chose 'customdifficulty' from a dropdown and click save).
config\users\config.Arma3Profile
config\users\Administrator\Administrator.Arma3Profile
config\users\Administrator\Administrator.vars.Arma3Profile
I get the feeling I shouldn't have touched the Administrator.vars.Arma3Profile file (if anybody can send me the contents of theirs so I can replace it, it would be much appreciated)
Currently we have tried putting this code in all of them:
difficulty="CustomDifficulty";
class DifficultyPresets
{
class CustomDifficulty
{
class Options
{
groupIndicators=2;
friendlyTags=0;
enemyTags=0;
detectedMines=0;
commands=0;
waypoints=2;
weaponInfo=2;
stanceIndicator=0;
reducedDamage=0;
staminaBar=0;
weaponCrosshair=0;
visionAid=0;
thirdPersonView=1;
cameraShake=1;
scoreTable=1;
deathMessages=0;
vonID=1;
mapContent=0;
autoReport=0;
multipleSaves=0;
};
aiLevelPreset=2;
};
class CustomAILevel
{
skillAI=1;
precisionAI=0;
};
};
It worked at one point but I changed the 'waypoints' to 2 to keep them on screen and now the crosshair is back again.
Essentially we want no spotting, friendly markers only, 3rd person and no weapon crosshair.
Thanks to anybody who can assist and explain to me which file it's actually referencing because this is driving me up the wall.
Bonus question: anybody know how to make AI harder? Do I do it here?
