Dev-Server needed?

Dev-Server needed?

Hello there,

Currently i am setting up a new redmine server.
During the setup i got the idea: I could support you with a dev version of a3wasteland.
The idea is: Set up testing events with our armajunkies community and give them advices what to test.
Server usage: Only for testing purposes in defined time frames.
Bug-Reports: I would collect the bugreports on my redmine and forward them later. (Reason: Our players would be able to report in german. And we would be able sort out useless reports.)

Organization:
I would setup a new Event on www.armajunkies.de and publish the server password there.
On the Event i would publish a testing plan.
The testing plan would be delivered by Team Wasteland.

Pro for me:
- The high perf server is being used in a way i like
- My players would learn: It is not easy to develope a mod and bugs are normal
- My players would learn to make a difference between arma bugs and mission bugs
- The Armajunkies Community would have a voice

Pro for you:
- You get planned test scenarios, without publishing the mission as pre-release
Atm i have one free high performance server:

CPU: 4 vCPU i7
RAM: 18 GB
HDD: Arma in RAM
Net: 1Gb
OS: Windows Server 2012

And 2 free low Performance Servers:
CPU: 4 vCPU i7
RAM: 4 GB
HDD: 2x SATA
Net: 1Gb
OS: Windows Server 2012

I am not interested in hosting a pre-release version of this wasteland version on public servers.
I am not interested in modding your mission.

Kind regards
Harry

We have your 0.9 beta build running since last week. Seems to be pretty stable, aside from the issues that arose with the latest BI patch (binoculars, crashing, etc).

If you want a different version running or want me to pull the logs, let me know.

We have the 0.9b beta running on our dedicated server located in New York. If there's anything we can do to help out let us know, thanks!

Ok, than just give us the info:

- which features are in the focus
- do you need a dev-branch server, or a retail server

- you mentioned mass testing: passworded or not?  (public or closed test scenario)
- - appointment: 04.10.2013 - 2 pm until 05.10.2013 2 pm (GMT +2, Berlin)

- we will deliver bugreports to github
- our community players will be adviced how to test
- we will deliver logs @ armajunkies.de. redmine. i will deliver account details to you and agentrev. there will be a non-personal account for team wasteland

I just have to split my redmine and have to prepare up the arma server.
I planned to stop the scripting of my arma 3 mission and will develope a better perforamnce monitoring tool.
Want to see numbers: Magnon / GoT vs A3W. Will need this tool for my mission too.

atm @ work :(

we'll have a pre-release soon, passworded isnt really needed.

but atm arma3 barely has any players left due to the crashing issues in both branches and the BF4 beta launch.

my servers (see signature) run modified testbuilds of the mission with experimental settings/additions like: (no backpacks on spawn, no ammo cache spawns, less chance at military vehicles, loot additions, kamaz spawns with vehicle retexturing etc)

so untill we release a pre-release pbo, it's best to build your own pbo off the development_main branch on github for now.

KoS merges are nearing completion too :)

Our Test Server is online.
German player will report bugs on: redmine.armajunkies.de
I will point english players to: a3wasteland.com
I will collect the german bugreports, will filter them and will forward them.

The game runs with more frames and less frame drops.

The first comments of our players:
- We miss the territory capture system
- Vehicle Store
and Spawn-to-Groupleader

We hosted Magnon Wasteland... they are a little bit spoilt.
