It has come to my attention that indies are using the infamous scrollwheel trick to spot other indie players, as the game considers them friendlies.

In order to stop this, I urge all server owners to set friendlyTags=0; in their server difficulty options.

The only side effect is that players won't be able see those green nametags on actual friendlies.

This should make injured messages visible too? Or is there something else because in my server only kill messages are showing?

We recently introduced custom death messages to the mission in the dev branch, do you have those? They currently have a couple issues, which I am on the verge of fixing.

Yea i have newest mission file in use currently. If i switch to older one until fix, do i have to use different main_config file aswell or does this new one work with older mission?

Don't use the prebuilt PBOs, they are way outdated. Compile it manually from the dev branch.

I just did, it has indeed been quite some time.

For future reference, if you want to use the latest dev code on Stratis, all you gotta go is grab the Altis version, and replace those with the Stratis ones:
  • mission.sqm
  • description.ext
  • stringtable.xml
  • mapConfig

Another side effect that the own position isn't shown on the map? Or which parameter is responsible for this?

mapContent and A3W_teamPlayersMap, if both are off you don't see anyone.

Hm. Ok.

How could it be, some players see their own marker but others not. Dunno what to test more ..  :-\

Is there any option, only admins see them?
