Although the hoster still has problems, server is actually running. "Only" webinterface is not working.
Nevertheless there are some news in Sefrou Ramal:

besides the latest cDLC update, I edited some of the missions. It was always a pain in the a** for me. I often had to compromise - between mission text, mission picture and last but not least the mission itself. Sometimes I took just something, only to have a mission picture.

Those times are gone ..

The Nomad Massacre Mission is built like the Hostage Rescue Mission. Tbh, I wanted the dromedars to be alive too and if the shepherd or one of the dromedars died, mission fails. But when placing the dromedars in the mission script, they became ingame static object, not moving in any way.
So I changed the settings ..

We also added one private parking slot. Personally, I am not a huge fan of it, but several players wished. I could understand. Tanks aren't available at shop for example. So players could leave them, where they are after aquired ownership or "sell" them at vehicle store. But then .. you get nearly nothing (1000) for it. The vehicle shop owner calls this Scrap Bonus ..

Changelog
  • players get $500 for burying dead units (thumbs up for soulkobk)
  • parking slots increased from 2 to 4
  • changed few missions, so money isn't just laying on the ground but now in the crates
  • reduces volume of dead body flies (again thumbs up for soulkobk)
  • added caching scripts

The biggest change is this mission "The Maze". We edited it to "Pyramid's Maze". The only entrance is now in the Pyramid (Teleport script) so it seems, you are under the Pyramid (just dont open the map!  ;D)
Therefor we added a second marker when mission appears: one for the mission itself, second for the entrance.

The screenshot was taken during night (best time for the atmosphere!). I tried several different things to make this area always dark(er), but havn't succeed.

Update
  • changed vests for roaming AI (no more NATO vests)
  • edited more money missions, so the money isn't lying on the ground but inside crates
  • no Bergen in crates
  • added more Offroaders in vehicle store
  • added 5 camos for vehicles
  • reduced time for burying dead bodies
  • changed vehicle spawn (no more armed Prowlers & Qilins)

The Maze now has 2 more exits and entries. Only the main entrance is still shown on map when the mission starts. It was easy for enemy players just to await the players inside the maze  infront of the pyramid. The other exits aren't marked on map.

Finally added these 3 missions:

  • Traitor meets SRS is a customgroup that contains at least one NATO clothed soldier
  • SRS Invasion is obviously a convoy - but covered by a Kajman
  • Sky Trinity contains a Pawnee, a Ghosthawk and a Blackfoot

Beside these missions nothing big has changed. Server is running smooth and this for hours.

One mission is in progress. Gonna be new kind of mission.  ;)
And a player offered to create a mission for this server - he want to try. I am very exited ..

  • Poopy brain. Not only reached rank #1 on the server, he brought 3 friends to Sefrou Ramal. He fights fearless against 3 enemy players, he helps new players with any question (how to change channel) and offers his own ideas to improve the server (2 missions suggestions)
  • Got him known years ago. One of the kindest persons I met so far. He created the Sandstorm and the Snake script we have added. He supports, encourages and gives positive feedback. Besides those scripting help, he is a very pleasant person, drinking wine, smokes cigs, cares about his dog. Cheers mate!
  • From time to time I log in as admin, lean back, having coffee & cig and just watch other players without acting in any way ingame. One day, I saw a player, heading to one of the local dromedar. I thought "yeah yeah .. go there, kill this dromedar and have 10 seconds fun". But he proofed me wrong. This player turned off the engine, got outa his car and went to the dromedar. Watching from all sides. When the dromedar kneeled down, he did the same and stayed couple of minutes. Then, he walked back to his car and left. I really was impressed. And thankful, these kind of  people playing on our Wasteland Server ..

Only 3 of the new missions now included.

  • added one OPFOR Slot for the Admin
  • deleted all clothes in loot crates, added all WS clothes to the store
  • added one sunken town in NW
  • devided main town/territory into north/south

  • SRS Territory Attack is really hard. But the idea behind is just great: the players have to defend one random area. In our case a town, because territories = towns. A huge amount of units attack. Best case would be, all players work together. We made this work one time. 6 players. Holy moly ..  ;D.
  • This mission seems to be quite simple: kill the armed units, load in the crate and deliver at the destination point - a random town. Problem we have is: roaming AI. If the awaiting mission AI is spotted by roaming AI and kill this poor guy, mission fails.  :-X

Nice addon for the first mission would be, if the mission failed (the attack has been successful), the territory would be painted black and filled with armed hostile units - so the players have to fight back to get this town/territory.

Nothing else has been changed. I know, I could improve certain details but atm I think, it's ready/done.
One big problem is the AI Spawn Script Pack which causes a spam of rpt logs. Anyway. Just disabled.  ;)
