The path to pictures

I been trying to use some of these .paa file for my vehicle skins init field.
I have found the lines what you write on init fields, but for normal arma playing.

What is the correct path to pictures in Wasteland I have to use ?

Depends, what you want: Arma3 integrated pictures or pictures, made/added by yourself.
For the last case: see Leon's posting. You have to add a folder etc ..

Sry, I am bad mood today.

So, I want the path I should write in init field for vehicle I made and dropping it in editor to map.
But want to use some of those nice .paa files in Wasteland folder for that vehicles skin.

Cant figure out why it dont use them as get error message thatit dont find the file from path I been trying to give it.

.paa file need to have specific resolution. in steam go download "Arma Tools"  there is ImagineToPaa convertor, use that for converting other pictures formats to .paa , i am talking about something else but this will maybe help you in future.

Now, i think i am not alone but i woud like to see.
1.what file
2. where to file
3. how it looks in your sqf file

we can always talk but this will be better, post here just in case the file which you wanna add, so we can test it in our .pbo´s and do maybe troubleshooting.

and yes this is wasteland forum, we dont need to know your mood, most of us here play with arma so we have same mood  ;) ;D

Two options:

  • you use the Arma given .paa files (i.e. for the Gorgon this: A3\Armor_F_Gamma\APC_Wheeled_03\Data\apc_wheeled_03_ext_alpha_co.paa)
  • or you use your own textures. Then you will need a new folder with the textures inside and the specific path

First of all... thanks for taking time to answers.

Let me be more clear what my goal is...

1. In A3Wasteland packet we have "client" folder, there is "images" folder, there then is "vehicletextures" folder and inside is many .paa files to use on vehicles.

2. When I want to use some of them and make my vehicle added (in the mission map by editor) using a skin from this folder.

Question was:  what path do I write on that vehicles init field so it finds the file and makes the vehicle use it ?

I tried this in many forms. It says all the time in game that it dont find the file for asked picture.
So it dont know this path...

Well, we don't know your folders. Of course you need those folders and the .paa file.

Look this is how my .pbo file looks unpacked
ArmaA3_Wasteland.Tanoa is mission file with everything inside
"client" folder is inside mission file which you must be running


I am pasting and using path within mission file.
Without file we cant help you more.
