Editing & Coding / New Eden Features

Not sure how many of you have picked up on the new features within the Eden editor that you can use to fix Map issues such as rock formations overlooking key strategic areas such like Gun Stores etc, for too long players have been glitching these area's and we have been powerless to stop it without watching the map 24/7, but not anymore !

open the editor up and load your mission SQM

Navigate to the Map area you want to edit, in this case Kill Farm on Stratis

select 'Systems' top right hand side of the editor and select 'Hide Terrain Objects'

the rest is self explanatory - it's just like placing a marker with a few more options  :D

just to make you all aware of a new hack doing the rounds, the hacker seems to be able to delete the stores in game but also empty players ATM banks plus the usual stuff like TP'ing everyone, and yes i'm using the correct BE logs the should stop hackers doing this to BMONEY. :(

no idea who or how this is being done at the moment but will share it when i find out

this player was reported for possible hacking but unfortunately no name was given to me so i have little to go on

When the new Arma version finally drops you will be pleased to know we can finally get rid of the damn wildlife that saps client fps.

To do this comment out this line (sorry Rev)

and add this to the bottom of your main init

No offence Rev at all but the vanilla admin tools are quite poor, especially player tags which generally show the wrong person, anyhow after i made a new GUI for the admin & PlayerSelect menu i've been adding some new tools so feel free to pick the bones out of these -

It will require you to make a few edits along the way to have this work with vanilla and work out how you need to add back in the notify admin function if that's what you wanted.

There is an issue whereby players who use perf build 1.64 v1 can easily dupe things by disconnecting and reconnecting back on there body !!

***it makes no difference what version the server is using***

perf build v2 is coming out this evening hopefully however there will be players taking advantage of this.

there is a fix for this, by kicking players running the perf v1 build.

One thing I've never yet been able to find a happy medium for is the availability of jets and how devastating they can be.

No matter what price I adjust them to somehow they feel so over powered at times.

Server owners, what are your experiences? How do your players feel?

Can anyone explain to me how to re-supply UAVs, if at all possible?,

I've tried the landing at the stores but i don't get an option.

should i be using a re-supply truck?

How can I prevent this?
