Exploding vehicles

Exploding vehicles

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I recently started updating my server and mission files, now when I start my test server, it seems as if all vehicles explode at vehicle stores, like they constantly keep spawning over and over again. I really cant find anything in any of the server or client logs like an error or someplace to start...   ???

I've not had any feedback to say this is happening, have you reverted your changes?

I had the same while i had some issue with extdb connection. Check logs and post RPT.

Check logs and database logs and post RPT.

Dont see anything wrong on quick glance. For me it was database error which was reflected in extDB3 logs. Sorry.

I found the problem...

A3W_vehicleLifetime = 2;           // Maximum lifetime in hours for saved vehicles across server restarts, regardless of usage (0 = no time limit)
A3W_vehicleMaxUnusedTime = 0;      // Maximum parking time in hours after which unused saved vehicles will be marked for deletion (0 = no time limit)

I switched to 3 hours and the problem is gone

Very very stupid!!!!!

The default value is 2*24. I'm not sure why would anyone set it to 0.

With the default settings the problem continues...

All vehicles purchased before restart return to the airport.


A3W_objectLifetime = 7*24;         // Maximum lifetime in hours for saved objects (baseparts, crates, etc. except vehicles) across server restarts (0 = no time limit)
A3W_vehicleLifetime = 0;           // Maximum lifetime in hours for saved vehicles across server restarts, regardless of usage (0 = no time limit)
A3W_vehicleMaxUnusedTime = 2*24;   // Maximum parking time in hours after which unused saved vehicles will be marked for deletion (0 = no time limit)
A3W_serverSavingInterval = 3*60;   // Interval in seconds between automatic vehicle & object saves; should be kept at 1 min for profileNamespace and iniDB, while for extDB it can be relaxed to 3-5 mins

I found the problem ...

Vehicles that are painted are not deleted from the database and returned after restart.

But I have no idea how to solve

I removed rgb colors and the problem is gone!!!

ceccatto - I did some testing and I am unable to reproduce your behavior. I recall having seen a similar issue before, but I can't remember or find anything about it. Can you post your store config?

Ok, store config looks fine. I think the issue originally happened during the migration from extDB2 to 3, but your logs aren't showing any errors so I doubt it's that. I think the issue might be deeper than just rgb colors; we can do a live debugging session if you want.
