Wasteland map size

« posted: Jan 18, 2014, 05:34 PM »
Altis is too big, Stratis is better even although it is too small but what map is just right? Has the @A3MP mod been developed enough to use Chernarus or is there a way to either split Altis in half or make parts of it barren or un-enterable? (like the nuclear bomb script in Arma 2 that created a lethal radiation zone).

Our choice to run Stratis was the population on our server. For us it was mostly members online and played, around 10-15 players at a time. Altis consisted only of extreme shutoff and like ate up the players, could play long before we even saw an enemy. At Stratis it's fighting almost constant, we like that anyway.

U can run a server using @A3MP, just afew things to remember.

@A3MP doesn't have the keys signed correctly in version 1.2.

Issue been mentioned in the forum thread about 4 weeks ago.
Was meant to be a hotfix last weekend, but no sign of one.
I was working on Zargabad, but i have given up waiting for a hotfix for a single signed .bisign

If u like to run a map with verify signatures turned on, u need to use older version 1.1
Problem is most people that have @A3MP downlaod more than likely have the newer version :(

Its a damn big download for players like couple of gig.
