I actually read it, well, skimmed most of it. half of it was pulled out of their asses and lots of the comparison to Arma 3 are just plain retarted. You can't compare Delta Force 1 to Arma 3. I played Delta Force 1 and it wasn't that pixilated as they claimed it was. it just anti-aliasing, supersampling, digital discrete signal of pixal wasn't where it was at that time compared to now. and plus these two game are far apart in the gaming development years. Yup, EVGA 1070's and 1080's are a fire hazard, all their VBIOS "fix" does is increase fan speed...

Also a friend's Gigabyte 980 blew up a couple weeks ago, filling his room with hazy smoke. This is becoming all too common...

C'mon, advice from sales people is often misguided or biased. Look for professional and consumer reviews, and always dig for potential issues reported by other users. I spent an entire day researching before pulling the trigger.

I went with a Zotac 1070 Mini (my case is 10.5'' deep and all other good cards were too big), so far so good. Even with just 2 fans it rarely ever goes above 70°C. They go up to almost 4000 RPM, but rarely reach above 1500 during play.

it's far better to do your own research and compare and contrast other card. read reviews and know your product before you buy it. I quit trusting sales people, because they will sale you a broken card with any kind of sales tactic just to make $$$. lots of dishonest merchants out their now days. in the US, the best 3rd party reliable sites are like newegg.com, amazon, or/and tomshardware for example.

possibly, it could just be that your missing a comma/semicolon or one of your scripts or .int file is incorrectly sending or receiving the data. i would try to compare and contrast older working back ups or other peoples scripts.

I do want to see the A3Wasteland community to grow and become just as big as exile.

How do I add authority to schema???

go to your MySQL Workbench

on the left panel (Navigator)

it will say User and Privileges
click on it

Hit -> Add Account

put in your Login name and leave everything else as default. don't put a password or that will screw things up.
Go to Schema Privileges and on the right click on Add Entry....

select you schema (default is a3wasteland) for example hit okay.

check box all of them (shortcut is Select "ALL" on the bottom right. -> then click apply

have you added server permission to the schema? that should solve it, as it did for me.

Well, for my dedicated server i use a custom made BEC that runs everything, and I use TADST to save the mods and any external files into my batch. I won't show this in my video since the person who made the .Bat for me doesn't want to publicly publish it, but i just want to keep it basic and simple. 

I do use the TADST for faster testing my missions and coding before importing to my remote dedicated server, since eden scenario doesn't work with wasteland because Eden doesn't know how to find my init and extDB.dll / config and so on.

future use, just say "Root Directory"  or for short "Root Dir" Webster makes dictionaries, not Arma directories :)

yeah, will do. this thread was originally just a question on how to fix it, but i solved it on my own. for some reason when i edit my posts, it won't edit it even tho i pressed edit and post. must be a bug.

I'm currently working on a tut  youtube video on how to install a wasteland.tanoa vanilla. the original instructions is too vague and not too informative on how to really set it up properly.

my video will contain: setting up steamCMD, SQL set up, TADST, extDB2 config and installing files

it was very confusing for me too. Yes, you want to put it in your root dictionary, where your a3wasteland and extdb.dll and extdb-config are.

i assume they can kill can kill you, but i just tried putting a civilian spawn in my mission, but every time i spawn i get a "mission failed"

i also looked at the mission_TownInvasion.sqf

and noticed:

So I've been searching all over the internet to do this, but only got half the info.

1)
A) i would like to create a civilian in Eden (also i'm using Eden Enhanced Mod) and place him on the map (easy, i know how).
B) i would like to set his Object Init to make him rogue on everyone, even his own faction. <-this i have no clue how. the closes i got to this is by reading this wiki command.

but I don't know how to script it to the Object Init or make a sqf out of this. i did try many method, but all failed. the best i can do is to go to the General settings in Eden and set the Independent Allegiance to attack sign on both, and spawn as a bluefor or redfor therefor the civilian will attack me, but if I'm in the independent faction, the civilian won't shoot at me.

Don't know why they made civilians as the same faction as independent, but best guess was because of the story mode.
 
C) that brings me to on how i can make civilians as their own faction?

2) this is an idea that i hope someone here knows how to do this.
A) instead of all 3 faction fighting each other, i would like to have it by insignia.
so if i have 2 groups of bluefor and set their insignia to two different ones, then both groups will attack each other.
B)  couldn't really find much on the wiki about insignia except (https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Unit_Insignia), but that doesn't help clarify if what i request can be done or not.

3)
A) I would like to spawn 2 groups from the same factions in Eden
B) make those two groups fight and "player" can join in who is also in the same factions as both group.
C) make this possible in vanilla wasteland.

4) I'm still a month in having my first working wasteland server, which is also my first arma server, so i'm still kinda new to the scripting, but i took the effort in watching weeks worth of scripting on youtube and reading a lot, but all these youtube videos only show the basics and don't go too advance. the reading i find on forums, are ether to complex, outdated, or i don't understand half of what they are saying.

so, if you know anyone of my questions, please explain it neatly or  // the code

@GriffinZS a) It only hard to fill a server if it's a apex mod and if you a have the same content as everyone else's server. You got to have unique scripts and content and a catchy name. If you want to start a $2000 start respawn, don't expect for your server to fill for example.
B)admins do have fun, I'm the main developer for the missions, ui, and scripting for my gaming community, and I can't tell you how much fun I had. It stimulate me to see my script run and work. It took me two weeks to get my game to a stable state and working with mods. It was stressful and annoying at first, but I didn't give up and it got really interesting and fun learning how to do the set up and scripting with no background in coding.
I get it that it gets boring fast when you play it, but that also means that you need to make a script to make it more fun.
