Number of SpawnBeacons per player

Hello everyone,

New to the the forums...(clearly).

I've loaded up a new server for our gaming clan.

As i'm working through some of the configuration of the mod I'm a little stumped on a few things.

I'll start with one for now as I typically like to figure this stuff out without having to make posts...but my brain hurts :)

Issue(i think):
I noticed with spawn beacons, it appears that players are only able to deploy one spawnbeacon.

Scenario:
Purchase spawnbeacon(one), place spawnbeacon(one).
Purchase second spawnbeacon(two), place spanwebeacon(two) in new location.
Second spawnbeacon(two) overrides first spawnbeacons(one) location.  Almost as if the first one was erased.  If you pull up the list of spawnbeacons you only see one, the latest one that was deployed.  Does this make sense?

I'm not sure if this is a persistence issue?

I'm utilizing extDB at the moment.

Hmm, i was under the impression that you should be able to have and use several. I always forget to use them myself my im sure my players usually have a bunch(and use them) of them. Maybe something changed.

servers i've played on all have what appears to be unlimited...it might not be unlimited, however i've seen multiple beacons per player.

Thats another thing...

for clients/inventory, can i change size of the inventory so they can hold 2xSpawnbeacons?

client / inventory / define.sqf

has the following:
#define MAX 10

However, what determines how much space a spawnbeacon takes up?

For some reason spawn beacons seem to dissapear since last patch or the one before that.

Dond remember exactly, i fiddled with that when i did a lockpick kit as a wasteland item but id try changeing the "1" here to the number you need, its probably the wrong place but thats

Got an idea how I could limit the amount of placable spawn beacons to two?

Not, sure, on my phone now but I saw something in the same script that might be a limit of some sort, think it was set to 3 right now

Just looked at it, I dont think thats it.

In deploy.sqf I would try to set up a limit. I'm afraid that it might involve a "nearest objects" search for very large area..... If all beacons is stored in an array somewhere maybe its possible to check that for the players UID and if there is more than x you cannot place another but thats over my head ;)

okay, so now all my beacons are showing up....(restarted server)

I wonder if this has to do with how they are saved? or with persistence? (extDB)

I have strange behavior on Spawn Beacons to since last update, sometimes they disappear sometimes they appear again, cant figure the pattern or what kind of magic is this lol

Here's my commit for adding a maximum to the spawnbeacons you can have. This also fixes beacons not showing up during playtime.

If you don't want that and just want to fix beacons not showing up. Comment this part in your deploy.sqf like I did here:
