Best way to host myself between servers?

« posted: Mar 03, 2018, 07:11 PM »
Hey, how do i make it share player database between 2 separate dedicated machines with different maps? Just make one of them connect to another remotely with mysql user or is there some better way that i miss?
Or a master-master replication maybe? Just trying to not break anything.
I want users to have their accounts available on both servers.
Shall both maps use the same database name?
Thanks!

You connect the 2 servers to the same database instance.

I have it setup now to master-master replication, but going to get separate dedicated server for mysql in the close future probably.
Thank you very much!

You're not supposed to replicate anything, neither getting separate servers, you're supposed to have one unique database that all your servers connect to. Any sort of redneck engineering will mess up your data at some point in the future.

Yeah i'll do it tomorrow. It might be also part of my bank money issues? Pretty sure it doesn't sync between 2 servers which are both "live" A3W_extDB_Environment.

Removed redneck engineering.
Fixed bank sync problem by figuring out that i didn't save config of one of the HC clients......
Retardation, fixed, thanks :)
